Last night, my girlfriend and I found ourselves at the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show. My younger brother is exhibiting a Guernsey heifer up there, so we decided we better go see how he was doing (and visit the infamous food court). I spent the week at Farm Show many times during my youth with my own dairy heifers, so it’s always good to get up there and catch up with family and friends.
The Farm Show has been a staple in our state since 1917, and is always well represented by the good folks of Adams County. It’s one time of the year where the agricultural community gets to come together and showcase our goods for the general public. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun and very rewarding.
If you’re looking for a good way to spend an evening or a day with your family, there’s still a few days left to experience it. You won’t be disappointed!
