After a relaxing afternoon tea, stay downtown and get your heart pumping with the “My Fatal Valentine,” a ‘fun’d raiser Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre to benefit the Hanover Community Players, Hanover’s only all-volunteer theater.
This third annual ‘Fun’d Raiser will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11 (snow date: Feb. 18) at On the Go Café and Catering, 11 York St., Hanover.

“My Fatal Valentine,” this year’s murder mystery, takes place at a convention of romance writers, where the contenders for the LoveKnot Book of the Year Award are anxious to find out who wins the prize. Among the nominated authors are two spinster sisters, a young prodigy and her overbearing mother, a British aristocrat, a rude and obnoxious social climber, and a rough and tough dude and his bimbo girlfriend. When one of the attendees is murdered, it will be up to the amateur detectives in the audience to vote for who they think “dunit” in this interactive and comedic night of fun, food, and crime.

Tickets are on sale now for $45/couple and $25/individual at On the Go Café, 11 York St., Hanover; 717.633.1911; or by mail to the Hanover Community Players, P.O. Box 36, Hanover, PA 17331.

“We are committed to keeping the prices at our all-volunteer theatre affordable as well as maintaining our historic building. To do that, we need to ask the community for help,” says Don Aumen, president of the group that owns and operates the Hanover Little Theatre, 360 Blooming Grove Rd., Hanover. “This annual murder mystery is just one of the ways we do that.”
The money raised at this event will be used to support numerous projects, including upgrading of the building’s electrical systems.
